Hello Friends,
Just wanted to say hello and let you know I’m still here! I got to spend last week at Dauphin Island, AL with seven of my mom friends, and it was a wonderful week. However, my 3-year-old MacBook died early in the week while there. I was very disappointed not to be able to do all the writing I had planned, but apparently the Lord had other plans for the time. My computer is in the shop and I have yet to hear the prognosis.
I didn’t take a zillion photos, but here are a few for your viewing pleasure. I’m editing this on my phone, so I don’t think I can caption them. Here’s the first sunrise:
A gorgeous gulf sunset:
Is this a crane? Pelican? Also, I did not know they use poles, did you?
Some clouds moved in toward the end of the week and made for another lovely sunset:
This was such a fantastic view while fixing my breakfast. But I was glad to get home to my own kitchen Saturday . . . even though there is no ocean view here in Oklahoma and I am the only one who ever wipes down the cooktop . . .
When you stay in a two-story house that is built on stilts, you climb a lot of stairs in a week. About 130 flights for me!
How is your week? I hope you are all well.
Blessings,
Janice
your bird is indeed a great blue heron.
and thanks for the lovely pictures 😊
Beautiful pictures. That stately bird could be a great blue heron, but yes, there’s something fishing about it ; ) Just thinking about the Gulf coast makes me happy, and I’m especially glad you got some time to soak it up. It’s like a trip to another planet, no? Welcome home!
